Cancellation and Change Order Policy
Murphy Door wants to work with you, not against you. Our cancellation and change order policy is designed to reflect the way we actually do business. If you need to cancel or change your order, contact us as soon as possible and we will do everything we can to help.
Order Cancellations
Before Production Begins
If you need to cancel your order before production has begun, you may do so at no charge. We will void the transaction and issue a full refund. Your bank may take 5 to 10 business days to process the refund.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to help@murphydoor.com.
After Production Begins — Standard Products
Once your order has entered the production stage, cancellation is subject to a 25% restocking fee based on the cancelled portion of the order. This fee covers the cost of materials that have already been cut and prepared for your specific order.
Custom Sized and Rush Orders
Orders for custom sized products or rush production orders may not be cancelled once the order has entered production. If a custom order must be cancelled before production begins, Murphy Door will work with you on a case by case basis. We do not believe in trapping customers into orders they cannot use.
Change Orders
Before Production Begins
If changes to your order are needed after placement but before production begins, contact us immediately at help@murphydoor.com or 888-458-5911. We will accommodate changes at no additional charge whenever possible.
After Production Begins
If your order has already entered production, changes may be subject to a 20% change order fee to cover the cost of rework. Lead times may restart when changes are approved. Your sales representative will confirm any applicable fees before proceeding with the change.
Discount Policies
Available discounts include promotional offers, contractor pricing, quantity discounts, package pricing, and military/first responder discounts. Key restrictions:
- Discounts cannot be applied retroactively beyond 24 hours before a promotion starts
- Discounts cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated
- Discounts may not apply to special or custom orders
Tax and Payment
Sales tax is automatically calculated based on the shipping address. The customer is responsible for all applicable taxes. Tax exemptions must be declared prior to purchase.
Chargebacks or credit card disputes filed without first contacting Murphy Door to resolve the issue are a violation of these terms and may result in collections, credit reporting, and legal action. Murphy Door reserves all rights and remedies available under applicable law.
