Order Placements

Customer Responsibility

You are responsible for all communications made to Murphy Door during the ordering process. Once an order is placed, it is considered final, except where otherwise stated in these Terms and Conditions.

Measurement Accuracy

Murphy Door products are designed and built to fit standard installation areas with both functionality and safety in mind. It is your responsibility to verify all measurements on your property and compare them to the dimensions listed on our Site. Murphy Door is not responsible for any errors related to measurements, fitment, or compatibility with your space.

No Warranty by Advice

The advice or guidance provided by Murphy Door employees or representatives is for information purposes only. This advice does not constitute a warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Terms of Sale

Custom Orders

All Murphy Door products are made to order. Because each item is custom-built, all orders become final 48 hours after being placed.

Cancellations

Cancellations will be subject to a fee:

  • Cancellations before Concierge confirmation will incur a 10% processing fee

  • Cancellations after Concierge confirmation will incur a 25% fee

  • Orders cannot be cancelled after 48 hours of order placement, regardless of confirmation

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to help@murphydoor.com within 48 hours of order placement.

Order Commitment

By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept all policies listed on the Murphy Door website and any linked documents. This includes waiving any conflicting verbal information provided by Murphy Door Representatives.

Sales Tax

Murphy Door is required by law to collect sales tax on orders shipped to states where we have a tax obligation. This includes states that enforce economic nexus rules, which require retailers to collect internet sales tax even if they do not have a physical presence in that state.

Sales tax rates are calculated based on the shipping address provided at checkout and are automatically added to your total. You are responsible for any applicable taxes, and by placing an order, you agree to pay all required sales tax as determined by your local and state regulations.

If you are tax-exempt, proper documentation must be submitted prior to purchase. Murphy Door will not refund tax on orders after they are placed if a tax exemption was not declared and validated at the time of sale. If a tax exemption is needed after the sale, please contact your local tax commission and request a refund directly through them.

Disputes and Chargebacks

Initiating a payment dispute or chargeback to avoid our cancellation, return, or refund policies is considered a violation of our terms. Murphy Door reserves the right to:

  • Send the balance to collections

  • Report to credit bureaus under the Fair Credit Reporting Act

  • Pursue legal action under applicable state and federal law

Fraudulent Activity

Chargebacks or disputes made under false pretenses may be deemed fraudulent. Murphy Door reserves the right to prosecute such actions to the full extent of the law.

Change Orders

Overview

Murphy Door understands that mistakes can happen during the ordering process. All orders will be able to be changed and updated within 48 hours of order placement without penalty. After that, additional fees based on order status and production stage are required.

Fee Schedule

Change orders are subject to the following fees:

Within 48 Hours of Order Placement

Change requests submitted within 48 hours of placing an order will not incur any fees.

After 48 Hours, Before Production Begins

A $100 fee will be applied to any change requests made after the 48-hour window but before production has started.

Once Production Has Started

Changes requested after production has begun will require a minimum fee of $500. The final fee will depend on the door price and the stage of production at the time of the request.

After Assembly

If a change is requested after the door has been fully assembled, a minimum fee of $750 will apply. The final amount will be based on the door price.

Lead Time

Production lead times are subject to change when a change order is implemented. Due to potential design modifications, lead times may restart from the date the change order is approved.

Discounts

Types of Discounts

Murphy Door may offer discounts at its sole discretion. These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Promotional offers

  • Contractor pricing

  • Quantity discounts

  • Package pricing

  • Military and first responder discounts

Order Adjustments and Eligibility

By accepting any discount from Murphy Door, you understand and acknowledge that if you cancel or change part of your order in a way that makes it no longer eligible for the discount, your pricing will be adjusted accordingly.

Discount Restrictions

Discounts or promotions:

  • Cannot be applied retroactively to orders placed more than 24 hours prior to the start of the promotional campaign

  • Cannot be stacked or combined with any other offers.

  • May not apply to special order projects (i.e. wall units, etc)

Tax Exemptions

Any tax exemptions need to be disclosed and applied at the time of sale. Taxes will not be refunded after the order has been processed.
