Shipping Policy

Shipping Method

All assembled doors are shipped palletized via freight carrier. Delivery is curbside with liftgate service included. The freight carrier will unload the door at the curb but will not bring it inside your home. If you require inside delivery, contact us for a white glove shipping quote before placing your order.

DIY kits and hardware orders may ship via standard ground carrier (UPS or FedEx) depending on size and weight.

Tracking and Delivery Times

Tracking information will be provided within 24 hours of shipment. Estimated delivery times are provided for convenience and are based on historical production and shipping timelines. Murphy Door is not liable for delays caused by freight carriers, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Do not schedule contractors or installers until after you have received and inspected your door. Murphy Door is not liable for contractor costs resulting from production or shipping delays.

Storage

Murphy Door offers complimentary storage for up to 30 days after your order is complete. Extended storage at $100 per month is available subject to warehouse capacity. If a delivery fails due to customer unavailability, the customer is responsible for return shipping and reshipment costs.

Address Changes

Address changes requested after an order has shipped are subject to freight carrier reconsignment fees, which will be charged to the customer.

Receiving Your Shipment

When your door arrives:

  • Inspect the external packaging carefully before signing
  • Note any visible damage on the Bill of Lading (BOL) before signing
  • Accept the delivery — do not refuse it
  • Open and inspect the door within 72 hours of delivery
  • Report any damage to help@murphydoor.com within 72 hours of delivery with photos and your order number

Important: Murphy Door covers shipping damage even if you signed for the delivery without noting damage on the BOL. We understand that freight deliveries happen quickly and not all damage is visible at the curb. Report any damage you discover within 72 hours and we will take care of it at no charge to you.

International Shipping

Shipping is available to Canada, Mexico, and select countries. International shipping quotes are available by contacting help@murphydoor.com. International shipping costs are estimates and typically do not include duties, taxes, customs fees, or inland ground transportation from the port of entry. All such costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Any requirements imposed by your government for the importation of wood products are your responsibility to investigate. Warranty claims for international orders are handled on a case by case basis.
