Murphy Door's hidden furnishings collection is available in a curated selection of premium wood species including maple, alder, cherry, oak, and MDF with furniture-grade veneer — each chosen for its grain quality, machinability, and finish consistency. Standard finishes include painted (any custom color matched to Benjamin Moore or Sherwin-Williams), natural stain, and factory-primed for site finishing. For the most cohesive interior design, we also offer custom stain matching so your nightstand, armoire, or shelf unit integrates seamlessly with existing millwork and furniture. Can I customize the finish of hidden furnishings to match my existing furniture?
Yes — custom finish matching is one of Murphy Door's core capabilities, and it's the reason designers and architects specify our hidden furnishings for high-end residential projects. You can provide a paint color (by Benjamin Moore or Sherwin-Williams code), a stain sample, or a reference photo, and our finishing team will produce a custom match. For the highest precision, we also offer factory-primed options that allow your local painter to apply a site-mixed match on delivery.
