You bring the vision. You apply the wall treatment. Brick, shiplap, wood paneling, tile, wainscoting, a Venetian plaster accent wall. Whatever finish matches your space, this kit becomes it. The result is a seamless, invisible secret door that looks exactly like the surrounding wall, concealing a hidden room, safe room, or panic room behind it with no visible seam, no handle, no hint it even exists.

Our doors don’t feature traditional door knobs or handles; however, hinges still allow the door to open in one direction, creating a pass-through between two spaces. They are installed in a rough opening in the wall, as each custom Murphy Door hidden door comes with the door’s head and side jambs and casing. Our high-quality design sets Murphy Door’s hidden doors apart from the rest. Do Murphy Door® hidden doors lock?

Overall I had a good experience. Only issues were the amount of slack in the measurements between the rough opening and the door frame. It was a little tighter than anticipated but we made it work. The other issue was the instructions have not been updated recently or were not specific. We had to use YouTube videos to get clarification. Shipping, quality, and overall satisfied. the projects turned out great.

Great product and I love the end result. We wanted to hide our bedroom door off the living room and this fit the bill to a tee. The final result was beyond my expectations thanks to the craftsman who installed it and the great folks at a Murphy Door for making such a fantastic product.

The package we received was missing critical parts (a bottom door hinge and some spring pins). Upon informing customer service, they asked us to send photos of all the hardware to confirm what parts were missing. After some delays with them not handling standard image formats and finally receiving the photos, they confirmed that yes, we were indeed missing the required part 😂 .
Then, another bit of waiting to hear the good news that it will only take *3 business days* for us to receive the single hinge pin via UPS (why not overnight for a part they forgot to send is beyond me). We were also informed that we didn't need the missing spring pins because "they are no longer needed per the new instructions to build the door". When we asked to receive the new instructions that no longer reference the spring pins, the representative said "just skip the part that needs those spring pins!" 🤣
This entire back and forth has taken over two weeks with additional shipping delays with UPS, we still have not received the part. I would love to say that the door works exactly like shown in the description and video, but the experience of literally buying it (and just trying to get what we paid for) does not give me a lot of confidence in it's longevity and overall quality -- least of all their support and blase explanations around how to install it. For spending over $1K, you'd expect to have a bit more of a high quality service interaction, but alas here we are! Best of luck to you if you're embarking on buying this -- but probably better suited to go elsewhere like Home Depot.

All Murphy doors I was told are custom-made to order so I had to wait about 3 to 4 weeks to receive my door. But then noticed that the door that I ordered did not have the adjustments on the top and the bottom in case it bends. So therefore, when I receive my door, it did not have that, and the door was very bent, so I had to re-order a new door. How can something be custom-made and not made Correctly, especially with the amount of time it takes to make the door.
