NOW HIRING: Casey Scott visits West Haven's Murphy Door Inc. - KSLTV.com
Published Date
KSL TV's Casey Scott visit to our West Haven facility is one of our favorite local-press features, partly because it shows the work itself — the saw lines, the install bench, the team turning a sheet of pre-finished panel into a door that disappears into a wall. As Casey put it on air: "Now hiring — Casey Scott visits West Haven's Murphy Door® Inc."
For Utah viewers considering the trade, the picture the segment captured is accurate. Murphy Door® has grown from a 2012 garage project into a manufacturing operation that builds everything from a forward pantry door to a custom gun cabinet — and that growth depends on millwork, finish, and install skill that's hard to learn anywhere except on the bench next to someone who's already done it.
If you're considering applying, the careers page on our site is the right starting point, and our press hub gives a fuller sense of where the company is headed.

Before You Install: Finish Those Walls First
Surface Mount sits over a fully finished opening: drywall,
paint, and trim done, just like an existing doorway. If
you’re still mid-construction, finish those edges out
first, or the raw sheetrock and framing around the door will
stay visible once it’s mounted.
