Full Size Murphy Bed - Left & Right Cabinet, Slab Style, Brushed Nickel Pulls

There was a plain door that entered an unfinished storage room at the top of our entry staircase that we wanted to disguise. The Murphy door was a great solution to hide the rarely used space and upgraded the feel of our foyer. Since it is an out swing door, we added some extra trim pieces to further disguise the seams. We don’t go into the room often, so we also placed a couple trim pieces at the base that just rest on the floor and we pick them up to allow the door to swing out whenever we want to open it.

Fast shipping, great product, and great customer service support. Couldn't be happier with the door. I'm already dreaming up which doors to replace next! I think I see a closet remodel in my future.

We did the install ourselves, and although that wasn't the easiest thing, I love the door so much and it was packaged very well.

While building my home office I was looking for an option to add shelving to my small space while also maintaining access to the space under our basement stairs. Rather than walk this area up, we found Murphy Door. They had the exact product we were looking for. There were plenty of options to chose from and their customer service was easily available to answer my questions. My door arrived on time and safely with their delivery service. Installation and priming/painting was a breeze. Now I have a beautiful and unique additional storage space for my office and a "secret" wine cellar under my stairs.

We ordered a bookshelf/door combo and had great service. Delivery on-time and the product is one that is constantly in use. I have a lot of books and this made a closet into a book repository. We receive many compliments. I cannot comment on the installation because I had it done by a contractor working on our house at the time, but he said it was easy. I think that may have meant "easy for him." I had a follow-up service call from MURPHYDOORS to see if I was satisfied with their workmanship and service - I was!

We purchased a set of Murphy Doors for my home office. They look beautiful and work great. All of our guests are blown away when we open the door and expose my office. We have a new home under construction and will be ordering another for it.

Our Murphy Door is beautiful! We love it! It was delivered in perfect condition, and very well packaged. Our son installed it for us. Instructions and install were very easy. walking down our hallway, you have no idea that a bedroom is behind the bookcase door. We'll enjoy it for years to come. Here are some photos.

I LOVE my murphy doors! When I take people through my house, I always make sure I point them out and everyone thinks they are the coolest thing! In a hallway filled with drab doors - having the murphy doors added some interest for sure.
I display my shell collection (we live on a small island) and also use it for books and games - so functional! I've definitely kept it in the back of my mind on other places I'll be adding a murphy door at some point. Thank you!!!!

Excellent product I now have 2 Murphy doors in our home and I would do a third one if I had the space for it. The staff were very helpful and understanding. Tiffiny helped with my problem, got it straightened out in no time.

Bottom line: You are reading this review because you're not a secret door expert. Otherwise, you wouldn't be here. A few months ago I wasn't a secret door expert. Now I am. Here's what I have to say about Murphy Door.

First and most important: customer service, specifically Kodi in customer service. As a not-expert I came to her with 100 questions, maybe more. She answered all patiently. She got back to me with answers quickly. She is 100% why they got the sale. I'm just a guy who wanted a few secret doors in his house. Kodi made me confident enough in her product to drop the $$$ with her. Because of this excellent customer service, there were no surprises from tip to toe. I knew what I was getting into.

The product: I bought 3 secret doors. A 2-way mirror/bookcase and two bookcase doors. Shipping was beyond reproach. Packed incredibly well with sensors to ensure they never tipped. Because of time and money I bought them all unfinished. I knew what I was getting into but I had a vision for these doors. First thing I did was seal all the MDF with an oil based primer. Overkill? Maybe. But everything I had read about MDF suggested that was best practice.

I worked with an excellent carpenter to install these (and I recommend you do the same). Getting your jambs set and level is obviously important. Although Murphy included trim with the order we used our own to keep it seamless with the rest of the house. Dropping the door in is a two person gig. These doors are SOLID. We are about 2 months into regular use of them and they perform as well as they did on day one. They are smooth as butter, and when I say regular use, I mean a lot. We did not buy these doors to go to places we never use. All three are regular passes in our house.

I'll attach some photos. Everything I did to these doors I did solo with items you can find on Amazon and Lowes. Minimal expense, maximum imagination. Remember, I knew NOTHING about secret doors before these arrived.

Back to customer service. A couple more reasons why Murphy excelled: 1) a few days after I ordered they had a Black Friday sale. They immediately applied the sale to my order, 2) they addressed an issue with shipping head on and made it right. I do not judge anyone by their mistakes, it's how they handle it - and Murphy ran at it, not away from it. Big kudos.

If you've read this far then I'll end with - go out and become a secret door expert! They are super FUN and that's what it's all about. Fun is the only reason we shelled out the money here. Murphy will be straight and patient with you (THANK YOU Kodi!) and when it's time they will deliver a solid product to you. Get yourself a partner with some skills and tools and get to work!

Love our Murphy Door and our new "hidden" room

The Door arrived on time as promised. It was very simple to install. I would recommend to anyone looking for this type of door.

We love the look of our hidden door, but glad we had our contractor install it. Our wall was not perfectly strait so he had to shim the sheet rock to make the trim sit flush from top to bottom.

Love my Murphy Door. I ordered the french bookcase doors as closet doors in my home office, assembled, and had a local contractor complete the installation. They're beautiful and functional.

Customer Service has been great, and every representative I have spoken to throughout this process has been personable and helpful. My doors were ready earlier than promised, and I was updated on each phase throughout their production process.

Spoke with Marlon, who reached out to confirm my order and offered to sell me a discounted automatic door opening system. We declined the offer because the door would not then open manually, you had to use the automatic system. Marlon was very pleasant but was unsure about some of the materials used in the door and was unable to mark my account that we might want a delayed shipment. He advised me to continue checking my status emails and contact them back when the door was in final assembly or the installation of the add ons we requested. He let me know that since the delivery was to a rural area and only specified curbside delivery, that I would have to do all the coordination with the shipper to see if they would deliver to my home or drop off somewhere else for me to finish moving it to my home. Marlon was very pleasant but it doesn’t seem like the system is set to do much more than sell you things.

Murphy Door people are so great! JP who helped us with the measuring along with deciding the best selection for our home and Marlon the Concierge who really offered a wonderfully positive experience are both exemplary young people. We can’t say enough about how genuine they were… they knew their product and could address all of our questions … and even shared a few laughs… We are looking forward to getting our door…thank you for all your help!
